My father owned a 1975 2002 which sparked my interest in BMW's.

I currently have a 1998 M3 convertible (the wife's) as well as the 2006 330i which I use as a daily driver.

Ahh, nice thread!

My dad drives 5 series since i can remember, 10 through all product cycles. Last is a 2006 fully loaded 530d touring.

He ownes two classics wich he treats like his own eyeballs:

1969 1600/2 colorado orange, black leatherette, 90000 kms on odo

1975 3.0 csi silver, black leather, BBS rims, csl front wing, 50000 kms on odo!!!!

I had a red 1995 316ti compact (what a slug

) and recently a 2005 325ti compact, fully loaded with SMG II, very nice ride

E91 M-sport will follow december 2006...

OMG. yo the e30 m3 is the sickest car. i wish i could pick one up if i had the extra money or could find one!

i will never understand why it pumped soo much more power than my e30 325i when it only had 4 cylinders and the 325i had 6!

I couldn't afford one at the time, but convinced my parents to leave Mercedes and try BMW.

They purchased an '02 330i and a 2003 X5. Now my father's getting the updated 530i (valvetronic engine like mine) and my mother's waiting for the new X5 next year. They're such big fans, they're not even considering any other suv's.

I eventually purchased an '03 325i and now have an '06 330i.
