Clearing Vanos Codes Before Fix

I have a buddy I want to show my car tomorrow but currently the car is showing 3100 and 2A7A. I understand it's the Vanos and I understand to not go hard on it. I also plan to fix it within the week. No issues besides low power when half engine light is on.

However the light only comes on about half the time right now. So my question is can I clear the codes and do a couple of pills or will that mess up the engine and cause sever problems.
