N55 vcg/vanos codes

About 2 weekends ago I replaced the valve cover and gasket on my 2011 135i. About 10 minutes after starting the vehicle to check for leaks, the car went into limp mode and started to run rough. Codes were 2D55 (Vanos, cold start: not controllable) and 2C58 (limp mode boost cut). Turned off and cleared codes and they came on after about 10 seconds. After some research, swapped vanos solenoids and the code swapped from intake to exhaust. Ordered 2 new febi/bilstein solenoids and now codes are showing for both intake and exhaust. Going to try OEM solenoids, but is there anything else to check for in the process?

You may have accidentally plugged the intake into the exhaust and vice-versa. They have the same connectors so it is possible and i have seen it done before.

Forgot to update!

Ended up being bad aftermarket solenoids:/

Plugged in the new OEM solenoids and everything started working again
