After going back and forth between the PS1 and PS2 i realized that its about $1500 more for the part, but exactly the same for install. Considering there is not much of a difference from stock with PS1 performance wise, its not even worth it to me for a slight power gain. I saved more and got the PS2 and I am glad I did.
The objective is to make more power, with the hybrid system (so same install as factory turbo), and PS2 was the only way to tell the difference IMO.

The car made 404whp and 440wtq on straight 93 octane. Would have made a good bit more with an e mix or on straight e85 but I wasn't interested in doing that. I'm beyond happy with the results and the car is still running absolutely perfectly months of hard driving later!
Reviving an old thread..

I wonder if you could estimate the cost for the performance upgrades that got you to this point from stock? I'm looking for a ballpark number.

For me, my power mods (excluding labor) was about 4k. I probably make somewhere around what OP does because I'm on an OTS tune. I could turn it up to 500ish whp with a tune.

PS2-got it years back on black friday for $2150
FMIC - I have a 5" VRSF, nothing fancy. Got it used here for about 2-300
VRSF DP - 300
Tune MHD - prob around 250 in total or so?
Upper (VRSF) and Lower Chargepipe (BMS) -- 150-200$, got these as a steal from my tuner because I never agreed to have them installed (though did need them because person who sold me the FMIC here intentionally supplied incorrect piping)
Fuel-It stage 2 lpfp -- 500. Don't buy this one though, buy the 650hp, which is also cheaper and won't fry your EKP
New EKP -- $75 --needed because LPFP fried my original one .

so you can go from 260whp stock to over 500 for about 4k, plus labor and tuning time. The new turbo from Pure is way better than the stage 2, called Pure750. It's on sale for 2500 now and I'd buy it in a heartbeat if they allowed a swap for a cheap price. It's a better turbo in every way and can put you in the 600's. You'll need to run a race tire on this car at that point, i spin through some of the the stickiest street tires in 4th gear right now.
