I have always run autocross and track days with all nannies off in this car.

I haven't had CBC coded out, but despite hearing the complaints from others about its effects, I have never been bothered by it. At this point, I am either used to it, or my braking technique doesn't bring it into play as obviously, or both.

I still can't help but wonder if the ABS is "overloading the front" because its brain is expecting different speed signals front to rear, but would be the same in a square setup. Have you ever pulled the fuse and done a lap?

Hmmm....no, but may be worth a try.

There are a LOT of people running square setups on track, and the best functionality seems to be increasing the front bias with larger equipment, either 370-372mm front BBK with stock 350mm rear, or 380 front with 355mm rear.

A less front-biased rotor setup tends to work better with lower torque pads at the rear, but I would prefer to have consistent pad materials. I went with the Stoptech Club Race compound to start, and will see how it feels next year.

The extra grip up front really offloads the rear under braking, more so in the short wheelbase 1M than an M3. PFC claimed to be able to tell from photos of my wrecked rotors that the ABS system was overloading the front on my car. This is on the stock 360/350 rotor sizes.

A lot of people with square tire setups and modest power increase use a 372mm front rotor with stock rear. The Brembo and ST kits use the same size rear rotor (355) as PFC, but go bigger up front (380) than PFC and AP (372), which I think I will need. Fortunately, the ST kit fits.

I'll report back.
Do keep the thread informed. I didn't know the Z54 kit was discontinued, maybe to make way for the ZR94 tubeless caliper. Plan to call up there and get the scoop. GL w the STs.

Will do! I hope to get them in 3-4 weeks and have some time for street driving before winter sets in.
