VANOS Recall Letter Arrived 6/6/14

Time to check the mail folks, I have my recall letter in hand, it states to wait until further notice to do anything because BMW does not have the parts necessary to conduct the recall yet.

Yep! I did receive mine also and the dealer is telling me that they will not have the part for the next 3 to 4 weeks, let's wait !

I got a recall letter the same date, and so far, I haven't heard a word back. Has anyone gotten this fix yet?

Yes, but I'm in the UK.

Strange that the parts have been available here in the UK for over a month and nothing as yet in the USA. You would have thought that some bolts would have been sent over by now.
