Replacing fuel injectors after 100,000 miles?

Anyone else have to replace your fuel injectors sooner than me? I checked into it and there was a BMW campaign awhile back that replaced the fuel injectors and it looks like my car had it done at 20,000 miles with the previous owner? Why would they need to be replaced so soon again? My car only has 119,000 miles on it now? Before I took it to the stealership I had the codes pulled and had the following:

Combustion misfire on several cylinders (cylinders 1-2-3-4).
Cylinder injection cutout
Fuel high pressure system fuel pressure
Fuel high pressure, Plausibility, cold start
Charging pressure control, Boost pressure too low

sounds like high pressure fuel pump. log hpfp pressure and see what it's sitting at. unlikely that 4 injectors all failed at once. although injector failure is fairly common on the n54 with older style injectors.

The car is at the dealership right now.......I'll have to wait and see what the outcome was. I just find it hard to believe that the High Pressure fuel pump would go out again a year after it was just replaced?

^It's happened to members before so it's not out of the question

Were spark plugs ever replaced?

Yeah, the plugs were changed last year, along with 2 of the coil packs due to breakage upon removing them to access the plugs. Coil packs 5 & 6 closest to the firewall were replaced. I did go over the recommended mileage when replacing the plugs though. Not sure if that had anything to do with it? The BMW service advisor insists that the fuel injectors were the issue. I guess I'll find out when they replace them and run the car through it's paces. I pick it up this weekend.

I think there has been something like 11 or 12 revisions of the injectors so far. So yeah... your car could need them. Also... part of the SIB for the injectors... not all car's got six new injectors. IF one was bad... BMW would only want/pay to replace three injectors. Either bank one or bank two sets.

Now I get a phone call the day before I'm supposed to pick up my car and the BMW SA tells me he took the car out one more time to make sure everything was ok with the car. He then tells me that it started running rough again! He then proceeds to tell me he thinks the high pressure fuel pump is going out!! ..........I just had the high pressure fuel pump replaced a year ago!! The car is still under the 120,000 mile extended warranty so it will be replaced free of charge but come on!! a brand new fuel pump only lasted a year? He had me questioning that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my fuel injectors in the first place. I mean how am I to know any difference? FML.........

Could be the fuel pressure regulator... but they should know how to test that.

I would strongly recommend you replace the rest of your coils. They definitely wear out
and it puts lots of extra strain on the mosfets it could cause them to burn out
