Ever since we got our 135i, I've been teased with some really cool tuner upgrades. The Cobb won't work with my car, the MHD requires me to remove the DME for a bench flash before it can work much like the Dinan option which, well, is a bit on the high end for something I won't really maximize. Granted, the JB4 seems like the more popular option but I'm not really a fan of the necessary wire splicing and lack of a good user interface that Cobb and MHD offer. Especially if I have to remove it.
I'm not ever going to track my car but definitely would like just a little bit more punch to it and this is pretty much what I was looking for if it works for my year of N55 engine. I had considered the aFe Scorcher but it was nearly as much as the JB4 but seemed a bit more user friendly. Hopefully Mrs. Claus will put a JB+ in my stocking EDIT: Nevermind...I just checked. The JB+ only works on the following models in my year range: BMW 1 Series • 2013-2017 N55 BMW F20 F21 M135 It's looking more and more like I'm getting pushed kicking and screaming towards a Stage 1 or full JB4 install, lol Actually, the Stage 1, (if applicable to my car) would actually be what I would want. After reading the installation instructions it appears to not require any splicing of wires or anything like that. I'm going to have to send them an email!
