to their defense.. they are not selling a complete car package.. they are selling a body kit... one would assume the owner need to secure the suspension bits... and exhaust ... and paint.. and installation etc etc

What I'm trying to say is that it doesn't look 1 bit like their product. They took a 1M, removed the badge and took some shots....

Why wouldn't they make some mods along with it... there's still lots of room for improvement on the front/rear. Heck, why not an actual VENT in the front quarter panel?

I'll bet they don't have anything made but just trying to gauge interest. If they're following this thread they should listen to the comments and at least try to make something that's not an exact copy!

IMHO this appeals to the type of guy that buys a fake watch; it's like layering cf over existing panels, fake; and when someone asks if it's a 1m, how will you feel when you have to respond, "no, I just bought some plastic bits to stick on my 125...". Winning? I think not

This could be in an asian country such as Japan.

With such high population density many people in those countries wear filter masks due to fear of becoming ill.

This car was at SEMA. Not all cars at SEMA are local. I knew I shouldn't have posted something so distracting.

The kit will cost a fortune, involve a ton of work and even more money to install the right way.

That being said, I like the idea, I bid whoever jumps into this good luck.

But the worst part for those people who run this kit? Is the answer you have to give when someone comes up to you and ask "Is this a 1M?"

This was to be expected one day or the other.
Don't care, still like my real 1M. And I don't blame those who will buy this kit for their 1 series....why should I?
I bought the 1 M for me and I don't care about what others think or do to their car.

People have been asking me that for months now. Do you think I am the least bit hurt when I say no? LOL, I had the quad exhaust first, remember, well maybe you don't remember.

Vinnie in Japan a lot of people wear mask it was weird when I was over there. Something to do with not catch other people's sickness?

I like the kit though, IF it looks like in pictures. The 1 series is a rare car by itself, not only 1M(s)...

1M has the same flywheel, gearbox, engine internals, downpipes, etc as 2009+ N54 equipped 135i's. Same tune and extra cooling that the PPK provides too. As discussed in a few past threads. Wheels and tires most people change. So not too much is actually different, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it).
