I wanted to finish up before the cold weather so that the paint can see some sun and dry up properly. I'll keep updating with progress haven't done anything else yet. Going to start the other side tomorrow hopefully.

Yeah, I'd rather spend that money elsewhere.

greg: did you consider just buying a 1M instead of the 135is? they're not that much more than a new 135is.

i had been shopping 1Ms for a while before setting down with the 135is....so i'm curious as to why you chose this route.

Please don't. Unless your car really is a 1M, don't put an M badge on the trunk. I'm all for doing whatever you want to your car to make it look like what you want it to look like, but don't go around pretending it's a 1M. I know you're planning on lots of other mods that will make it perform better than a 1M, but it's still really tacky to call it one. I say this only because one day you're going to tell someone you have a 1M and it will be the wrong guy and he'll tear you a new one because you're just pretending. Or even worse you'll find someone with a real 1M who will be pissed off that you're posing as a 1M. If you want to be part of the 1M club, buy a 1M. If you want to make your car better than a 1M, I'm all for it, just don't try to be part of something you're not.

Other than that, your mods look pretty good so far. I'm interested in seeing how things turn out, because these things can still turn out really good. I saw some pictures of a e30 318 that was converted into an E30 M3 Evo. It looked really nice, despite not being a real M3. Though, it had the M3 Evo engine in it, and looked pretty sick.

I put an Autobot sticker over the rear BMW emblem on my 128i. I have yet to be approached by an Autobot, let alone one who has torn my buttocks into a new one. :

The same thing could be said for every Yenko Camaro or Hemi Cuda clone out there. Branded as such all over the body, but the owners will tell you straight up its a clone, and no one in that community seems to care...

I don't have an M badge on my car. I didn't not put it on because I was afraid a 1M owner would be upset or say something rude. I could honestly careless for what others think of it. I built it to build it. I didn't put it on because my Frankenstein car isn't a 1M. It looks like one and will eat one for breakfast but it isn't a true 1M. I respect the 1M, I don't fear their owners.

People get so worried what others will say or think about their cars and on the flip side there are too many people trying to join this super elusive "M-club" people keep talking about. I hope one day I can afford a stock M3 and join up.
