Re the 'hiccups', what is currently working for me is i've adjusted the idle speed up by 100 rpm. i used BMW rheingold originally but MHD allows you to do the same now as well.
Now my n55 idles at about 750rpm but it is much better behaved in slow speed, or slowing down, or in light braking which were all of its trigger points before. I'm running MHD stage 1+ and the car has been good for the last 6 months.
