Arrow How the balls do you remove the rear (trunk) BMW roundel?

In the middle of working on my wrap, thought this would be an easy one but can't figure it out. Does it just pull out? I've searched everywhere and I've only seen posts for e90's and 1er hatches which look totally different.

Should just pull off like the hood roundel. They use the same retention grommets.

Yup looks like two little holes that it snaps into.

If it's like mine, it has a layer of what looks like 3M mounting tape to seal it tight to the trunk and deter thieves. I managed to get the edge of a credit card under the roundel at the bottom, and work it around until I could get a trim pry tool under it. Be vary careful-it's easy to scratch the paint. I have also heard of people using a piece of that thin plastic strapping they use on boxes to get under the badge and then use it as a puller to break the seal. Take your time. A bit of heat may help soften the adhesive, too. If I were to do it again, I'd put vinyl tape around the perimeter of the badge to protect the paint.
