Anyone else getting barraged with dealer trade-in offers?
It's not unusual for dealers to contact former customers about trade-ins, but this is getting ridiculous. The BMW dealer where I bought my used 128i keeps offering me a fantastic trade-in allowance on my car. "Used car values have never been higher," they declare!
How much is their stellar offer? $5,638. Granted I've put about as much into the car as I paid for it, but even if I had left it stock I'd probably still get $12k in a private sale. Stealerships gonna steal I guess...

I briefly worked in the automotive industry speaking to dealers before leaving for university. I'd get an offer for my vehicle every few calls when mentioning the automobile i drive.
& i think it's been on everyones mind too, i could easily make 2-3K ontop of what i originally purchased it for. |

Pulled into a dealer a few months ago to buy a part. Was immediately pounced on by a clever salesman who praised the car (with the obvious intention of softening the beach for his pitch).
It's what they do, so I politely said, no thanks. If there was anything on their lot I liked I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway, lol! |
