But definitely a very good deal, considering the rare auto parts store that carries it sells quarts for about $9-$10.

we have a ski hole in the centre of the back seat - why didn't you remove the cover and put the sub at the front of the boot facing the ski hole like in a normal sedan? https://goo.gl/images/3qqNZX |

Agency Power axleback. Not much louder cruising with roof closed. Just right increase in tone and volume when playing around with top down. But I have a 1/2hr commute and have been taking a LOT of 4+ hour highway slogs. Sometimes I just need music!

I had no idea there was that much false floor in the front. I know under the seats and floor mats there is a bunch. Soooo much padding in this car, vs what I'm used to. There are more than a handful running Xtrons. But after they buy they really don't talk about them. Buyers remorse? I'm just sick of not having a good place to put my phone while logging and such. Everything in 1 location is the selling point for me. If it works out, that will be the keeping point. I imagine it will sound like shit. But I'm on the Alpine upgrade so I might fair better than others? I was reading and there is no easy DSP/EQ for Android. You have to be rooted and even then its a hit or miss deal if it works. That is my big gripe about the base stereo, no midbass at all. |

Today I received the Turner Shark Flash device, and read out my ECU and sent the file to Turner to be tuned. IT TOOK AN HOUR TO READ! Overall a very easy experience, despite me forgetting to read all of the instructions. I also took pictures, as previously promised. I'll be washing the car tomorrow, and I'll be taking some good pictures of the exterior.
Here are my new engine trim pieces. I really like the orange accents. They tie in well with my interior trim pieces (below the below picture). There's the inner DISA valve: There's the outer DISA valve: Here are the Original Style 256's, wrapped in new tires: There's the extremely close gap between the F30 335i calipers, and the rim, this is with a 10mm spacer up front. I think I want another 10mm set and then a 5mm set to space out the rear, it looks weird with the front wheels spread to the fenders, and the rear wheels tucked well inside the rear fenders. And does anyone know how to fix what's happening below?

Changed out my differential fluid. I only got about 850ml changed out - not counting what ended up on the garage floor. I used BMW fluid so shouldn't be any compatibility issue. The old stuff was nearly black (approx 45,000 miles).

Installed blacklines.
Imgur is giving me fits so no pics yet. Decided to do Depo smoked side markers at the same time. First one was 5 minutes. 2nd was an hour because the wire slipped inside the hole and I couldn't find or grab it in the wheel housing. |

The pain!!! I followed someone's advice on this same thread of pinching the cables with a clip before disconnecting the OEM sidemarker. It's a lifesaver!

Gotta love it when, 60 minutes later, you're still working on that "quick ten minute project"...
Do that myself way more often than I'd care to admit...

LOL
I tinted my side markers. Lost the damn clips down the fender somewhere. I gave up magnet fishing and just ordered new smoke LED ones. Pretty sure the ones in there now are going to fall out/off and get run over, and I don't care no more. But I got my radio in and working great. I was having an issue with radio stations not coming in at all. Googled for hours trying to find out why. Came across oodles of threads with same/similar complaints and all seemed to be from newer cars with the 'shark fin' style antenna. Turns out most all of them are powered and amplified, just like ours. It turned out I didn't have a wire hooked up to power the antenna; and my region was not correct either. Hook the wire up and change region code, boom. All the crystal clear stations I had before, and more I think. MHD works perfect. I haven't tried flashing from the radio and I kinda want to try and see if it can be done. Carly works fine. XHP works. I did find out, and I never even thought about it when looking, that there is no G Force (accelerometer) in the radio. I was really hoping to have on dash visibility from something like Harry's but that won't be possible. Maybe one can be added to the board but I'm in no way competent enough to take that task on. I did read someone thought the programing was in place though ... probably native to the Android distro? There is a built in EQ and it does work. I wouldn't call it good, and I really think there is still something off about the sound in my car. It still seems there is a midbass hole almost like even with the EQ boosting in those areas it gets attenuated somehow. But I don't see how that could be possible. Alpine upgrade and ... Backup camera should be here wens. Got one that replaces the trunk handle/release. |

I've been using crappy jack stands for years and have completely torn up the edges of the jack points on my car. The last time I used them, one of the jack points broke and I thought the car was about to fall. I've bought new jack points, but before installing them I needed to sort out my jack stand situation.
Using this thread as inspiration, I bought two sets of Harbor Freight jack stands, an angle grinder, and an angle grinder holder. I cut off the top Y portion of each stand, and the remaining metal is small enough to fit in the jack point. I cut off more material than what is shown in the other thread because I was at the limit of adjustment for the angle grinder holder. My only concern is the small metal pieces coming off the edge of the top may break when setting the car down on the stand at an angle. $40 for stands + $65 for angle grinder plus the holder, so I'm all in at $105. If I want another set of the Y pieces to work on my wife's Mazda, it'll cost another $40 at Harbor Freight. Compare with Escos at $65 each + the cost of adapters, I figure this saved me about $130, and the angle grinder can be used for future projects. |

First optimum no rise wash ever. Very surprised. It's a good product. I used a 2 gallon sprayer with ONR in it to soak the panels and a 2 gallon bucket with the same for the rags. Even works well for the wheels.
