NAV or NO NAV...Need to decide!!!!

I have paid my deposit, signed the forms, Etc. Etc....and I am picking up my car on the 11th.

I got...

330i
Premium Package
Heated Seats
Sat Prep.

24 month Lease.
Titanium Silver with Black Leather.

The question...

My dealer has 2 identical cars...one with NAV and one without. I initially took the one without but I have until tomorrow to change my mind. If I was buying the car, it would be a no brainer, but I am leasing...

Please...all of you "e90 with NAV" owner...Should I take NAV it or not???

I'm very torn!!! Please help!!!

It's a hard toss up since you are leasing and it will not add that much more value to the car. I have the nav and I love it, probably don't need it 85% of the time, but if I had to do it again I would opt for it. Its also great when you want to search for something like a gas station, atm, resturant, etc., it will give you list of everything that you want in the area that you would like. You are also able to customize more features on the car that you would normally have to take to the dealer to set up for you. You can definatley be w/o one, but once you go Nav, you never go back.

a definite must! worth every single penny! once you get it, you'll ask yourself how could you even question opting for it.

I would get it. I have a TomTom Go and I really like the thing but having an integrated NAV and being able to control the car with iDrive is a definite plus. I am sorry that I did not get the iDrive.

My personal opinion ..... leasing makes NAV even more attractive ...... your rate factor does not consider the specific nature of options ...... a 2 year lease probably has around a 70% residual ...... meaning you basically pay for the 30% plus interst etc ......... Electronics depreciates much more quickly than vehicles in general ........ a 2 year old NAV though fully functional, is already behind the times ...... so you would expect that the residual to be much less proportionately than the 70% ...... yet you only pay for the 30% ......... I have it in my 330 and love it !

Get iDrive/Nav and you will love it no doubt. I have it on mine and I use Nav all the time just to make sure I'm going the fastest way. Also with iDrive, MP3 CDs, Bluetooth, PDC, Sat Radio are much easier/better. Money well worth it!!

get NAV - higher resale value, awesome display & personally, I think w/out NAV, your console/dash will look too "plain."

I think it comes down to how much you'd actually use it to navigate. I pick up a map about once or twice a year, so for me it would have been a waste of money. But if you travel to new places often, it would be a great asset. If money is not a huge object, get it and you will have little to regret.

Just got e90 with navigation and absolutely love it to death. I will never have another car without one, unless I am poor and cannot afford it of course.

hotsand5 - I was looking for this feature because my girlfriend asked about it. But I couldnt find it so I thought it wasnt possible - is this in the operations manual?

Thanks!

As the previous poster stated - the dash looked too plain without the NAV which is why I initially opted for it. But in my brief two days of driving, I realized the NAV is a rather good tool. In addition to the vocal guidance, I found the map-zooming feature to be of great use. (I like to know my relative positioning). Of course, my opinion is based on two days of driving...hope this helps.

I know you didnt ask about this but if they have a car with comfort access I would highly recommend it!

Id get the nav before I get premium especially on a 24 month lease. Get bluetooth instead of premium and with the difference you basically have nav.
