Damn straight. I'll never understand the guys toiling in crappy, soul-crushing appliances so that they can take a 10km ride to the shops on the weekends in the "fun" car. I DD'd every single one of my Ms, and enjoyed every second of it.

To the OP - well done, here's to the next 100k.

It wasn't 100k straight miles of Tail of the Dragon, but almost all of it was on normal streets.

I've put 4,000 miles on two M cars through the alps and autobahn - Miami is nothing like that, but you can still have plenty of fun with a good car down here.

Btw I hate tail of the dragon. It's kind of close to my mom's house. I took the E92 on it, hated it, and though I'd give it another try the next year in my wife's stingray. Not my cup of tea.

Agree, congrats to OP.

To further address ASAP comment regarding "best use of a fun car": consider you may daily drive a Honda Civic and think 1M should be weekend/fun car, others daily drive a 1M and think a 911 Turbo is a great fun car, next guy may daily drive 911 turbo and have a 458, so on and so on. Again, it's all relative and I have seen it all the way up to a Veyron as a daily driver and 250 GTO for fun.

Honk if you see me around town.

Welcome to the 100,000 miles club.

I never had any warranty work done except for the battery recall/bulletin.

I've been running modified/tune since 1200 miles.
What was the battery recall bulletin?

Well done! Im sure you've enjoyed 99% of those miles. I've certainly enjoyed 99% of mine. I've done far fewer km's though cuz where I live, we have serious road safety issues so to reduce the chance of an accident I try reduce the number of times I drive the car per week. As a result I've only done just under 55 000km's (34k mls). If it wasn't for the fear of an accident I'd be on the same milage as you though

Mine didn't start slipping until 65,000 miles or so. I was fully modified at the time including meth and E85 daily. I've since detuned and removed some mods until I upgrade to a stage 3+ spec clutch and SMFW from MFactory. Until then, I'm only pushing around 380whp now. The stock clutch has some rattles at idle but not too annoying. It still holds strong during hard acceleration.

Congrats on hitting 100k and enjoying it. Surprising that you've gone through 4 HPFPs. I sold mine around 48k and never had an issue. I did have a rattle or two though.

+1. People think you need to accerlerate/redline and push a BMW to enjoy the car. While that's the best way to extract every bit of performance from a BMW, you're likely buying a BMW because it just feels good on the road at speed limits. I don't need to go to track to notice the steering, suspension, etc. That stuff should be there on a BMW stock. You drive any BMW vs. Mercedes or Audi and this is obvious (though that's been sort of removed on the current BMWs).
