Ive switched to the dark side, not mb Lexus.

Hey guys i am apologizing ahead of time. I went to test drive both the IS 250 and 325i today and fell in love with the IS. Ok so let me start the story. So ive been waiting all week to go and test drive the 325i but as of last night i found the IS 250 and basically fell inlove with it. So I went to lexus first and drove the IS and it was amazing. Handled beautifully had more than enough power, all around great, not to heavy but not to light where it feels like a shit car. So then i went to bmw and drove the 325i and it was meh. The price of the Is 250 fully loaded is 36 while the price of the bmw equipped the same way is above 41. that had a major factor in me picking the IS 250 over the 325i. So id like to apologize for wasting everyones time with my questions , ill still visit the site because I will be purchasing a 330ci (the new one) vert when it comes out. My dealer told me some news that i didnt know, the new vert will be a hard top vert! im so excited. Aight peace out.

I really can't understand how anyone could like that ugly IS design over the E90.
But anyway

You guys have to test drive the new Lexus IS250/350 in order to understand how nice the car is inside and outside before passing on judgement.

Just my 3 cents.

ok, thats a bunch of bs, this car is far from a girls car, if anything i can see a chick driving the 325i more than the new is. The lines in the IS are much more masculine than the 325, just test drive it before you pass judgement.

The new IS is a beauty, I owned a is300 before my 330i. The new IS is so much better then the previous model (is300). The interior on the new IS is very nice, yes there is no wood or metal trim on the dash, its still plastic, but every thing else is done so nice. Fold-out pocket on doors, lock on glove compartment, huge side mirrors, rear packing camera, vendilated seats, nice soft leather, keyless entry etc.

Dollar for dollar the interior and standard equipment on the IS is better then the e90. Makes the is300 look very bad.

I think BMW is going to find more and more people like 325 Baller. I know bimmer fans like to just turn a blind eye to the threat, but the fact is, the IS has been tested by several magazines to be very competitive with the e90 and it's several grand cheaper. Throw in Lexus' reliability and service and that's gonna turn a lot of heads

Me personally, I'm still planning on the 330i, but I'm going to give the IS and all the options I can get with it a serious look. Bottom line, BMW is on notice and needs to realize that the competition nipping at its heels.

Very true...particularly the leather. To the average guy/girl (which is what most buyers are), you tell someone they have to pay $1500 more for leather on a $40k car and they'll see the $37k Lexus WITH leather as a much more reasonable option.

It just feels like you're being ripped off when you have to pay extra for leather on a BMW.

Oh and the glove compartment is actually usable.

One big minus for the new IS is headroom. I am 6'1". I can wear a helmet to autocross and track on the 330i fine. I can touch the ceiling with my head on IS. Tried to lower seats the best I can.

well, enjoy your new ride.

Not everyone can possibly like the E90 over EVERYTHING. Good news about the hardtop convert....that might entice me, actually...

How is a 325 loaded 41K? I paid $41,900 for my 330i fully loaded with no navigation. I think some people are paying way too much for their 325's. Learn to negotiate!

The last time I checked, a fully loaded 330i was over $54,000..........
