After reading everyone's advice so far, I am leaning toward going with Concord BMW. I still have a lot of time before I have to place my order in time for my European Delivery (late spring 09). Originally when I was casually shopping, I contacted Weatherford and someone there told me that they wouldn't do ED on the 1 series. I don't know if that has changed.
I have to admit that I might try some other dealerships just to see if they will give me a bigger discount. It might be worth the extra hassle if the price difference is big enough. |

I have had many BMWs and have patronize a lot of dealers here in the Bay Area and SoCal.
Here in the Bay Area I highly recommend BMW of Fremont (ask for Sales Manager Sammy) He is the best. I also recommend East Bay BMW (Sales Manager Larry) Worst dealerships that rip you off and won't budge and will not care if you have issues are San Francisco BMW and Concord BMW. They lost my business after several countless issues with them both in Sales and Service. In Socal I would highly recommend Shelly BMW and Beverly Hills BMW.

I also recommend Laura Blanc at this dealership. She was very professional and didn't come across as other pushy sales people.
I wish I could get another $500 discount on my 2006, 525i, but I am fairly happy with the car and deal so far.:roundel: |

I placed a deposit for a 135i today!
I went to Concord BMW today, more out of boredom than anything. I asked for Gena Bell, as a few of you recommended, but she wasn't there today. I ended up speaking with Jim Cord who turned out to be a very cool guy.
I wasn't expecting anything but I came armed with my information just in case. I told them exactly what I was planning to pay and getting into a bunch of back and forth. The sales manager was seated just behind us and overheard. Jim showed him my offer and to my surprise, he agreed. It took a matter of 5 minutes and I put down my deposit. I think once the sales manager saw my spreadsheet with all the pricing he knew how serious I was about buying the car. He had to think here is a sure sale that I can take or let him go to another dealership and decided to take my business. Needless to say, I am pretty happy. I am getting the car I want at the price I want. I am looking forward to heading out to Munich and cruising around Europe. Thanks to everyone for all your advice. |

Congrats!! I think car dealers are hurting for sales with this economy. Now would be a great time to wheel and deal for cars.

I just bought an 09 135 from Stevens Creek this week, and they were very nice and helpful, and not pushy at all like some other BMW dealers I've been to.
