Simota Cold Air Intake

Hey guys,

I was having a look at the Simota Cold Air Intake (for the n52) and it seems like a fairly new product, maybe something investing in as it is pretty cheap <$200

most cars it has been installed on are E90's however it still is for the n52 so it should fit correct?

Just wanted your guys views/opinions on this product

just to clarify this is not the same as the Simota Intake

here is a picture to help

Looks like it'll still fit our cars. Don't take my word for it but here's a pic of my engine bay with my injen if you wish to compare.

It would be nice if they made a true cold air intake for this car. I wonder if anyone has made anything along those lines. Short rams heat soak so much that it's almost not worth it (performance wise).

The stock air flow box from the kidneys does still supply nice fresh air, but i imagine that only helps at higher speeds. Regardless i only did it for the awesome intake note.

that Simota is just cheap, and not that new.

Ingen has the following benefits over Simota:
Larger heat-shield that actually directs air to filter
Smooth metal tube from filter/maf to throttle body
Larger filter surface area, perhaps less chance of sucking hot air
not much more expensive over this simota

This sounds like a great trifecta of mods for someone like myself, with a currently stock 128i, looking to just take a few small steps right away. Definitely let me know how you feel about this combo!!! The only thing I would like to find out, is if the Magnaflow exhaust tips are able to be modified. I'm jonesing for carbon fiber tips since my ride is sparkling graphite...
