BMW PE install question
I installed my BMW PE last week, but I think that I'm getting excess noise/drone. It could be because its still breaking in, but I'm also paranoid that I didn't torque the clamp bolts enough.
I attached some photos of the clamp. Let me know what you guys things. Thanks! |

Seems about right. Similar to mine anyhow. You're probably just not used to it yet? That part was easy for me since it was already on when I bought the car.
If you are concerned about a leak, there's a variety of exhaust repair items at the auto parts stores you could use as a sealant (stuff designed to take the heat). You might disassemble things, put a little of that stuff around the connections, and put it back together. |

It's hard to say if that is tight enough. There is a little booming inside the cabin with my PE at around 2,000-2,500 rpm but it is not anything too intrusive. Other than that it sounds great.
On a different note, I would recommend turning the clamp a little bit to get the fastener out of the way of speed bumps. Here's how mine is installed:

Anyways, I've turned the clamp and tightened it a bit more. Hopefully, that'll help a bit. |

Looks to be fine. I just tighten it as much as i could. Not sure what sounds you're experiencing but if anything the PE will get milder in a couple weeks.
