F Series Turbo vs E Series Turbo Kitty

Just out of curiosity has anyone tried to put a F Series cat on a E Series N55 turbo? I know the compressor housing is bigger on the F Series but I wasn't sure about the exhaust side. Thinking of a custom exhaust set up is all. I remember seeing a forum post about it awhile ago but I can't seem to find it.

Just put a catless downpipe on it? They're like $200 used for a VRSF one

Yeah I already had a catless downpipe but the F Series is a single exit while ours is dual. I want to make a single exhaust all the way back to the muffler and didn't know if I'll need to fab up a custom downpipe or not.

If you want a true single exit then you're gonna need to fab something up, I'm not sure what type of power you're making but on a N55 even Pure stage 2 the down pipe merge isn't going to be a big restriction. It's ideal to make the catback 3.5" for the most gains, a few of my n54 buddies made a 2-1 conversion with 3.5" piping right after the downpipe using the stock midpipes. Any decent exhaust shop should be able to do that. A few PS2 n55 members have 3.5" catback that they've customly built but not sure on their specs. I believe they did them near the muffler.
