Sorry for the late replies.

Someone texted me soon after they were posted that he wants them. Should that fall through, I'll get in touch with the second person who contacted me. I heard that these are sort after and that looks to be the case. Glad someone will be using these instead of sitting in a box in my garage.

@maxcbrdriver: yes, I did win the 135is on BaT. First time ever buying a car sight unseen from pix, videos and 3 phone calls with the seller. Seller was great to deal with!!! Always said I wouldn't buy a car sight unseen; I can tell you that it was stressful. Then add to that having to bid online; more stress. It takes discipline and by that I mean, decide on your max bid is and stick to it!! I'm loving the 135is!!! Been searching for one more than a year!!! This is basically a new car.

As for keeping them and painting them body color, given the material I'm not certain how long the paint would remain on the plastic. Plus, for this application, I'm not a big fan of how they look. That being said, to each their own.

Happy New Year to all you 1 Addicts.

They are great drivers car, so your search was worth the effort. Enjoy it! My close friend was one of your competitors. I actually bought my 135is from him. He missed the car so much he went looking for another.

For what it's worth, I've painted mudflaps before and you need to sand them a bit to rough them up and remove any remaining residue and then use an adhesive promoter. At that point you won't have any problems. But I can see how on a blue car even when color matched they may not look right. Since your car is basically new, maybe some Expel protector put in area behind the wheel will mitigate paint damage without adversely affecting the aesthetic. Just a thought.

One of the rarest items for these cars coming from a rarer model of these cars, good find and buy too.

I think they look great on any color 1er, but in their natural state; no need to paint them in my opinion.

maxcbrdriver: I'm assuming that your friend was BMWNJ for the 135is auction. Kind of expected him to stay in longer than he did. Kind of glad he bowed out when he did as I was getting close to my max bid!

Good idea on the Expel protector. Will definitely look into that

Yup, bmwnj. He's got a great car collection as it stands with an e46 m3 and a Cayman, so he'll be ok.

I also have a set of front and back 135i mud flaps available. In good shape. They were only installed for a few months. Will need new 3M Auto tape and a couple clips/screws to re-install. Will sell for the same price as above $100 + shipping

Let me know if you are interested.
