Love the garage shots, but I always get fooled into thinking you have DSB instead of Le Mans blue.

For me it's tough to capture the LMB unless the LMB is the subject, as it varies a lot with lighting. A circular polarizer helps a lot in daylight. Sometimes I can't tell what color it is.

You know there are some 1er owners here who have their paint in such great condition, if it wasn't for the orange peel you would think you are looking at a mirror!

That picture is a great example!

Sub

I finally had some time to plumb in the cheap-o sub amp, a claimed 225 watts RMS @ 4 ohms which is perfect for the 10W1V3.

If an AGU fuse shows up any time soon I can fire the sub up. I still have to fab a couple of mounting brackets for the sub before I can call it a wrap.

How difficult was the install? Been thinking about retrofitting one.

I currently have StopTech Sport (309 series) pads for the CSL rotors but any standard 135i pad should work.

It was straight forward. Four screws to remove the sun visors, and everything else unclips or unsnaps. The BMW instructions were clear and no coding is required. The retrofit harness kit 61120434330 is a must and quite complete.

Looks great, need to do the same on my low option car. It might be the angle of the photo but the clown-nose looks thinner than others. Is that a specific euro part?

Nothing special. 51169134459. RealOEM shows it retrofitting all the way back to the E36 but nothing past the E-Series.

The clown nose is noticeably smaller than the manual mirror knob.

The subwoofer is fully integrated and secured. I can have that sucker out in <30 seconds for that track day I still haven't attended.

The Bavsound subs weren't cutting it? I'm still blown away with the bass coming out of my stock Hi-Fi system with just the Revenant amp after 6 months...

The under-seats are mid-subs

Oh, and yes. I could have stopped at just the amp. It's such a night-and-day improvement over the stock 676 HiFi amp.

Man bet the bass is KICKIN' now.

Gotta say, I'd give my left nut for your car. Or just for an LMB car in general.
