What does this steering wheel button do and is that the BMW non-iDrive nav?

Been looking in the owners' manual and in the forums, but I still can't find out what that top left button does, nor find anything about that nav system. How is it operated? Could I remove it (ideally without having a big ol' hole in the dash)?

That button switches between sources, Radio Tuner, CD, etc.

Makes sense (now ). So what does the "recirculate" button do? Restart the track / disc / ...?

I can't tell if you're joking or not now haha,. The recirculate button changes the way the aircon/fan setting recirculates. I don't use it enough to remember if it goes through all the settings or just toggles between on and off though (the remaining would be the automatic choice).

I mean the two buttons on the right spoke of the wheel. The top one with the rectangle & circle and the bottom one with the "circle of arrows". I'd be surprised if either of those are for ventilation

You just gotta use your car and play around a bit my friend. Those are used to advance the track on a CD, or change between radio presets.

I don't think our Volvo or Honda Odyssey have those buttons But now I know for when I do get my very own E82.

That's what I thought (definitely not iDrive...). There's a note in the Carfax for the car that it was installed at a dealership. Confused me a little.

Hope the hole isn't too big. NonIdrive E82s are awesome.

Somebody else may find out. Car is for sale in CT, I'm in the PNW, and the spec / price isn't right enough to make it worth it for me. Black 6MT 128i with 97K miles, asking $10,995.
