^^^ Eeeks, but yeah looks like you did it.

I've got a Diono Radian for my 5 year old, it fits really well inside the buckets, doesn't seem like it hits the seat outside of that at all. I'm pretty happy with it and optimistic there won't be any long term damage.

Forward facing? As I said before, Cybex Pallas or similar. End of decision making.

Will have the AtonQ and Pallas both in the back seat of the coupe soon, second kid due within 2 months.

My woman is 5ft so now that the car seat behind her is front facing she can move her seat back a bit more for more leg room.

I am very excited!!

I am shocked you pulled this off

I did a lot of research on this when I first got mine (128i and baby) and be careful, you cannot put a car seat in the middle. From what I read the anchors are not designed to support a load in that direction (towards the center of the car as it would pull if there were a seat in the middle). Also it is not a seat so not legal either.

You guys are nuts, I bought an old wagon (Volvo V70R) for occasional baby duty. Can't imagine trying to deal with getting a baby and all their crap in and out with just the front seat folded forward.

Not worth buying special small strollers and slim car seats to daily a tiny car IMO.

The 1er looks great as a garage queen!

Any thoughts on a slim front facing seat for a 2 year old? We have the Diono Radian 3R in the SUV but I'm wanting the slimmest seat I can get for the back of the 128 vert for occasional duty. Seems like the Diono is pretty slim already as they advertise 3-across capability. Looking for any other opinions on quality seats you guys may have used.

To each their own! Yes, sometimes it is nuts and many of my friends and family keep suggesting to move on to at least a four door, at worst a van!!

But, nothing like driving my 1er with my kids in the back. We also have an M-class that my wife primarily drives for hauling kids, strollers and supplies all at once.

As awesome as it is to keep the 1er as a garage queen, knowing BMW won't make the 1er again, it's just as awesome to drive it as much as possible too!
