im surprised u come to a bmw forum to ask for someones
"opinion" on ur benz..
given ur brainpower im wondering why u couldn't figure this out on ur own.. or do the internet homework and figure it out yourself

Definitely go with the Suzuki. Get the litre bike and never look back.

Agree w/this. Sportbikes look cool but are awful street bikes for a lot of reasons. The SV still looks sporty but the powerband is better suited to street riding. It has more usable power in the RPM range you will be riding at, and less explosive power at high RPM. Also cheaper, easier to work on, still a very capable bike on track if that's your thing (I bought one exclusively as a track bike and did a couple dozen track days on it). Very good suggestion by Gangplank.

yea I ride.. havnt in a while..
prolly gonna look at the 750 gsxr.. would love a repsol in good cond
Ive done lots of track days on bikes and owned all sorts of motorcycles. Every bike has its intended use, benefits & drawbacks. Buy a bike within intended use in mind.

The GSXR-750 is a great bike for the tack. On street you'll never get it out of 3rd gear usefully.

I had an SV650 (and Ninja 650 too). I liked both bikes. Fun, fast enough, cheap to own & ride. Great for track days. Got my knee down plenty on that bike.

The gen2 sv650s are pretty nice looking. You don't need more power than that on the street, depending on what you are riding/hauling around. Lol!!

So you want something more like this:

Personally I'm a fan of the Ducati Scrambler - the "desert sled" version old school styling.

If you're buying a sportbike based on looks, there is only one real option:
