Rear lip/spoiler from SpoilerNation

Hey, anyone buy/install the rear spoiler from SpoilerNation? If so, how is the quality - I'm a little apprehensive as the price is considerably less than the BMW one. It seems that they have separate part numbers for an E82 or E88 which is a good thing. Painted it would be $234 w/adhesive included.

08' 135i E88 M-sport

Thanks...

I was looking at this too. They show pictures installed on E88 which is good. If I can't get my M4 style one to sit down as much as I want after the car is wrapped I'm gonna try one of these out

Prices are not that great. I got both my high kick spoilers (M2 and 135i) painted from the same eBay seller for the price they list the unpainted.

They had a perfect color match even on the Long Beach Blue.

Unfortunately the E88 market is next to nothing. It's not a bad cost if it is actually designed on the E88 trunk. I still don't understand why they're different shapes on the end. I get the different lengths due to the folding top stuff but wtf is with making them more rounded

so you just schooled me. I had no idea the E88 and E82 had different trunk shapes.

Gonna search same seller I used to see if they make for the E88.

Yup! E88 is rounder where the E82 is mostly flat. You will not notice it unless you put two pictures of them close together. Many sellers don't know this and market their spoilers for both. Unless it's a PU spoiler, it's gonna take work to make an E82 spoiler fit an E88. My M4 one keeps coming up on the ends but I haven't used epoxy on it yet (waiting for the wrap first) so we'll see how that goes

Gotcha thanks for the info.

I got a fiberglass one for mine and a carbon one for my girls E82.. same seller good quality is very good, fast shipping..

Searched but he doesnt have any listed specifically for E88..

OP good luck with the search, hopefully someone chips in with info on a seller specifically for the vert!

I plan on doing a combo of body epoxy and heat, then taping it to the trunk for a couple days. Make sure the bitch is solid. I've already pulled mine off twice because it wasn't sitting how I wanted it to with just tape

FUCK THAT MUST BE horrible for the paint having to peel off that adhesive ..plus acohol or whatever u use to clean it up..
what im gonna do is, tape it down and let some barbell plates sit on both corners over night.. if that still leaves a gap ill heat the corners and bend down so it looks flush..
I wouldn't do all that epoxy shit.. just sounds ghetto.. im sure itll look ghetto as well..
I fuckin jumped when I noticed these spoilers hold on by 3m tape..

You guys ever consider BMW's Betalink Adhesive for the spoilers that don't fit your verts properly? P/N 82699408866KT.

Never used it myself but maybe it might hold better for your vert trunks.

Lots of stuff gets held on with epoxy over tape. It's much stronger. And if it's done right, you don't see it anyway. Removing it isn't as bad as it sounds either. But my car is being wrapped so I'm not worried about it messing anything up since it'll just be on vinyl

FYI, I've tried contacting SpoilerNation through email and a phone call - no one responded. I'm not going to order from a company that won't even reply to a pre-sale inquiry. Maybe they don't even exist anymore.

I guess my only choice (E88) is the BMW Performance real spoiler but the price, and cost to paint, has me reconsidering this mod.

They take paypal. If it's not what you expect in description or quality, paypal will refund you. That's my reasoning at least. And if they don't respond to a paypal claim you get your money back AND keep the product lol

Just rolled the dice on one of the ebay stores for $99. Honestly it looks great and the fitment looks like it should be excellent. I'll snag some photos later.

E82 I assume? I'm looking for one that fits an E88 (convertible).
