19" VMR question

You guy's running 19" VMR's on your 135i's. How do they handle? The tires would make a difference of course. Do you notice an improvement from the stock 18's? I'm looking at going with VMR 19's, V710, stock suspension. I just want opinions on the larger rim size/handling.

With my personal experience on my own vehicle, I went from a stock 16" to a 19" wheel. I personally did not feel any kind of performance decrease. I actually felt a faster turn in at lower speeds and greater stability at higher speeds. Due to the thinner sidewall, steering response will be improved and a wider contact patch will allow improved lateral grip.

consider 18s too... I know some like the look of 19s and I had 19" VB3s on my E90 previously but my 18" VB3's that I have now look PERFECTLY sized on the 1 series, especially with a modest drop. 19s just look a bit too large for me for this car.

The thinner sidewall will surely handle a bit better but also take into account thinner sidewall means you might feel the bumps a touch more.

Bringing this back from the dead - do you know what size tires are on those 19s? Is the car lowered at all or stock height?

I believe those are 255/30/19s. The car is definitely lowered and has fender work done to it. The rears have been rolled and pulled slightly.
