Wanting to buy your wrecked/ salvage title 1m

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Anyone know of any wrecked 1m's for sale in the US? Don't care how bad the damage is or what type of mileage. Will even buy your wrecked 1m from you before Insurance takes it. Really miss my 135i so I figure it's time to get into the M next.

Best of luck, most are snatched up quick at insurance auctions and they usually skyrocket in price due to the collectability factor regardless of damage.

They can go in the high teens mid 20's, not too bad

Keep your eyes out looking at Copart and IAAI auctions
I know about half a dozen 1M's have gone thru those auction houses
They're always salvage titles and sometimes they're from owners on this board
A black one sold recently on IAAI that was documented on here
No clue of the purchase price and be aware the BMW NA will have nothing to do with it with respect to warranty/recall issues
I know some bought to fix and flip and ended up way in over their head
Heck, I think you'd be better off buying a very high mileage one for about the same price for a salvaged one
I too had the same dilemma (2 1/2 years ago), I finally bought one with 12k miles and now it's my garage queen with 13.5k miles
Best of all, it always brings a smile to my face (whether I look at it or I'm driving it)
Good luck in your search

I saw a REALLY high miles car I could have swung the price on but I missed out on it. I'm talking 120k miles I believe. High miles or wrecked doesn't matter since it won't stay stock Anyway.

Curious if any other salvage title 1M have shown up recently or are available now. Thank you.
