I'll post up the dates for this year.

Gee - Pics of my SL and 1M are on the PH Forum under 'BMW M Owners List' page 6.

Count me in for a track day, Abingdon sounds good!

He is a suggested date for an Abingdon meet and/or track session (take your pick).

Mar 16 or Apr 27. Cost for a session is £129 for unlimited track time. Free to park up and natter/watch/passenger ride.

If there's enough interest I'll try and negociate a group discount (c10% I suspect) but individuals would be responsible for booking-in via the Motorsports Events website.

Quick expression of interest, then I'll let Natash at Motorsport Events know to give preferential places to the 1M group!

I'd be interested, but I can't confirm either date till Feb due to work etc.

Certainly looks like a safe place to stretch the cars legs with the stability off vs dedicated circuits. Reasonable place to meet too it seems.

I'd love to get involved. Can I assume Fridays are the only option? Wont be easy for me to get away on weekdays. Also, any advice on insurance requirements?

Fridays are the only options for Abingdon, starts 1000hrs, briefing at 0900, finishes at 1700hrs. They do have plenty of other dates, including Saturdays, but locations not as central and tracks not as good (airfiled ones anyway).

Insurance is 'optional' ie at owners risk, but there really is little chance of damage if you were to get it wrong. Insurance is a google search away if peace of mind required.

Come on can't we all take a 'sickie' for one Fri!!

hutch2196 - I'm definitely interested in the track / airfield day at Abingdon so please count me in. Even if you can't get a group discount and are going to be going along one Friday, let me know and I'll get myself booked in.

I'm also interested in a general meet as well to catch up and talk about cars, so if anyone else is arranging that, then please count me in

I have not been on a track day in a road car before but the track looks like a good way to cut my teeth.

I would be interested in both the meet and to also possibly get out on the track

I'm meeting a couple of RS/RS 500 mates this Sunday at the Silver Ball Cafe at Reed south of Royston, Herts on the A10. Have mentioned it on the Ford site so if anyone else is interested in a nice greasy fry up and some usual car talk you're welcome to join us at 10.30. Believe it's going to be nice weather this weekend.
