how to measure trans fluid temp?

Hey y'all,

Servicing my Gm auto unit soon. shifts haven't been as smooth lately and it's about time anyways.

I did this back on my zf 8hp on my 4 series a few years ago. easy and took me an hour and a half, and used bimmerlink to measure the oil temp. Now I thought I could do the same on the e82, but when i was looking through the measured metrics, I didn't see it pop up.

Is this limited to the gm units? I do have inpa so i could probably do it that way as well but just curious cause i really dont want to have to go buy a temp gauge yet since i feel like i should have the capability to track that already

thanks in advance!
