Wrecked 1M
Last night a friend borrowed my VO 1M when I was out of town. He took it on a mountain road and somehow lost control and flipped the car onto it's roof. He sustained a broken nose but the car is completely totaled.
No pics yet, but our community has lost another beautiful vehicle. That car was my absolute pride and joy. Last edited by Blue55; 08-02-2012 at 03:49 PM.. |

I hope he has insurance to cover it. But I believe even used 1M's go for near MSRP, no? |

Sorry to hear this bro!
This car is awsome but driving it with MDM on or traction control off (especially for someone who isn't used to driving the 1M) can be dangerous if you are not concentrated on what you're doing. Glad your friend is okay...sorry again for you loss!

Man that sucks. Sorry. How does someone "borrow" your car while out of town!?!? Sorry to rub salt in your (fresh) wounds. lol Btw... I bet I know how he broke his nose... I bet he drives with one hand at the 12 O'clock position on the steering wheel. When those kinds of drivers crash and the air bag goes off... they "punch themselves" in the face!! At HPDE's we would call those types of (bad) drivers: "the Claw"... bc they always drove with one hand on the wheel! lol Dack

Sorry about the car. At least your friend did not kill his self.
I have a hard time keeping the rear end under the car with race rubber that is 30mm a side wider. It is fun but it is a killer in the rain or on street tires with traction control off.
