i have 3 different 1Ms inthe 1:43 by Minichamps but find them to be not particular great. They're good...but not perfect....especially in VO. the paint is just not VO it's more reddish. I also think the Minichamps 1:43 are nice, but the fenders aren't right either as the rear ones aren't as well pronounced as they should be. In the photos, this other 1:43 that was released at the launch seems much, much nicer. Anyone seen any for sale anywhere? I saw a few on ebay over the past few months but they were quite pricey! Back in 2011 BMW gave these official 1:43 models to dealers. There was also demand from BMW staff. The rest was put up for sale to the public for 59.90 EUR. Sold out in no time.

Nowadays this model is truly a rare find. Low supply + high demand = expensive (+ opportunism of certain buyers who purchased for resale purposes). If you spot one put up for sale, get it if you really want it. Some time ago I managed to find one on eBay (pricey, unfortunately, but I wanted it).

@Dackelone spotted a batch in the Summer of 2011 (Leipzig Werk) and is probably still kicking himself that he did not buy all in one shot that day.

They do come up for sale on ebay.de from time to time. Just run a search for: "1er M coupe 1:43"

Right now there are none on ebay.de but when they do come up forsale they usually sell for 100 to 250 euros. The Minichamps models go for 60 to 120 euros.

I think I am definitely in the minority here, but I prefer the stance and look of the GT Spirit one, (not too keen on that performance spoiler).

It is good however that PMA are not doing an exact copy of the GT Spirit one so will add a bit variety of the 1M's to my collection.

The dealer edition 1/43 Jadi one was a fantastic model!

First post here and I am curious to know why the Minichamps 1/43 Diecast 1er 1M in white, model no 410020022 1 of 528 sells for around £100, how much were they originally? Seems steep for a model car. Will they go up further on value? I'm tempted to purchase but at £100 for essentially a toy car it's not for the faint hearted!

they were originally expensive but you can easily find them for less.

Because... supply and demand. Minichamps always limits their model car production. Once they are gone, they are gone!

When I first was asked by many 1Addicts to get them some Minichamp models... I told everyone IF they want one, you better say so now! They will sell out quickly. And, they did. Now you are forced to pay the going rate on ebay.

Max from Minichamps limited the 1:43 scale model production. The AW and BSM were limited to 528 pcs while the VO model was limited to 1,008 pcs

You can go back in this very thread and read the saga of ordering and customizing these Minichamp models(page 14).


Even the official BMW 1:43 scale model was limited in production. At first only 1,000 were produced. But they sold out in days. Then BMW AG ordered a second batch of 1,000 models. Some of those were the models I saw(& photo'd) in Leipzig. These models did not have anything written on the base/model stand.

The 410020022 models were about £45.00 originally, just because someone ask's for a £100.00 doesnt make them worth £100.00.

IEDEI, I am not sure if it helps you or not but I have had a go at photographing the two Valencia Orange models side by side.
