I would say that since neither Vorsteiner nor iCARBON haven't come out with anything yet, it's all speculation at this point based on some P-shop jobs and sketches.

Good afternoon everyone!

Regarding the wheels, we love the design of the HRE P40; it’s an amazing looking wheel. What we don’t like however, is that the spokes are almost flat with no concavity, and the center (where the bolts are) is very extremely pushed in. We also like wheels like the Neez QD7 and Morr Alloys VS8 because of how the entire wheel and spokes concave toward the middle, but we do not like the fact that those wheels have a thick outer lip (which makes the wheel look smaller than it is).
So, we decided to do something in between; the outer edges and spokes of a HRE P40, with the concavity and inner center of Neez QD7 / Morr VS8. The actual final 3-d render will vary and I’m sure we’ll make further revisions, but we wanted to do a quick artist render of what we want the wheel’s style to follow. Full 3-d CAD renders are about 4-5 weeks away at this point.

In regards to the front lip, personally, I don’t think it follows the other front lips very much. Other’s lips are very thick on the outer edges (where the OEM “Fangs” are) and cover the bumper’s entire painted surfaces on each side of the bumper where the fog light air dams are. We left a strip of the bumpers painted surface showing on each corner where the fog light air dams are; looks WAY better and less thick. We also made a more streamlined piece as opposed to the other lips which have very thick outer edges, and a thin middle piece. Other lips look like they stock bumper’s lines, just exaggerated them and made it lower. Our lip ties the entire bumper together creating a more aggressive, streamlined front that is a sort of mix between the OEM Performance front bumper’s lines and an M3 front lip.

Pricing for the wheels should be posted tomorrow; we’re waiting on the final per-piece cost. Wheels will include iCarbon center caps at no additional charge.

The offsets will remain private until we are 100% satisfied with fitment. We have a few offsets we are going to try, but we first need the first batch of test wheels to come in. Once we get those initial test wheels, we’ll open the pre-order with pictures, videos, 3-d CAD drawings, and available color choices.

As always, if you guys have any questions or comments feel free to email, pm, or call us.

- The iCarbon Team

I do remember...I had the Vorsteiner lip (and hood and trunk lid) on my E46 M3. I thought you were talking about the lip they will be producing for the 135i.

Regardless, my point is that there's a lot of talk about lips and no action and I'm tired of looking at my front bumper!!!
