E92 M3 paddles on my E82

I bought a set E92 M3 paddles for my E82 135I DCT. Do I need to rewire the connections or program the M3 paddles. I did have paddles on the E82 to begin with. As of now the paddles are not working.

They should be plug and play. I just rewired my factory left paddle to make them function like normal paddle shifters but I can still use the paddles the opposite direction to upshift (push forward on the left to upshift and push forward on right to downshift).
