Wipers

I have two quandaries

1. I bought a set of wipers from the US. Sadly they are back to front. There is a clip on them that looks like it can be flipped around after push/knocking a metal pin out. However I'm concerned that it'll break. Is this possible?
2. There is apparently a drivers and a passenger side wiper. I've managed to mix mine up. There is no discernible difference that I can see. Any ideas how to work it out?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps this DIY thread I wrote might help you.

Both wipers (drivers and passenger sides) are the same length.

Good thread but no use to me. I know how to change the blades. The problem is my blades are US style and I'm in Australia where they go the opposite direction.

OHHHH!!! So... you need RHD wiper blades. I would just buy them locally. But I guess any mail order BMW dealer in the UK would also have what you need.

Our toilets flush down, we don't have US style swimming pool toilets here.

Back to the point at hand, problem solvered. I knocked the pin out of the couplings on the old wipers and put them onto the new wipers. Fits perfectly and hopefully I don't have farting wipers anymore.

Are you able to post on a DIY section please - my wipers are annoying me at the moment. I was going to get the stealer to do it as it's due for a service anyway, how much are you saving?

Spangley misunderstood this thread - thought from the title it was going to about an Eddie Murphy movie.

C'est la vie!
