I'm not familiar with wraps, what kinda maintenance is required? How long do they usually last?
Also, I've heard from my autoX buddies that if you hit a cone on the wrap, coz it's plastic on plastic, the scuff my will not come off, is that true? I really dig the matte black look, very nice job. |

This stuff actually acts like a clear bra and protects the paint underneath. A few months back, Lyle was telling me about something called "overlaminates" (sp?). It's like a clear bra, for your vinyl wrapped pieces and it protects the vinyl itself. I didn't get this stuff on my roof and mirrors because it wasn't available back then but after a few months of driving I can confidently say the satin black vinyl looks as good as the day it was installed! So how much would it be for vinyl side numbers and a hoodstripe like this? Thinking about a nice color to offset SGM, mabe a dark red? Black is just too boring you know?

I think it will probably depend how complicated the design will be... but I'm confident you'd still pay less for a custom job like this than you would for a pre-cut kit (that you would have to DIY).
You should just call Lyle and show him a pic of what you and he'll be able to work out a price for you that's more than fair
