I saw the M4 Yesterday!

On Saturday my son & I participated in the BMW M Track day at Monticello Motor Club. A very enjoyable 1/2 day thrashing M2, M5, M8, X6M, X5M in a variety of different events. Highy recommend. At lunch, in the "clubhouse" We were surprised to see a black curtain and gentlemen at a podium in front stating that there was a special "sneak peek" behind the curtain. In order to enter the escorted area, we had to relinquish our cellphones & I even had my sunglasses inspected for any type of recording device. Behind the curtain, The new M4 in all its production glory. I must say that it was striking. It was painted in the same "yellow" color of the CSL Hommage. The huge grille was gloss black, It looked much better in person than in the pictures I have seen. Aside from that, from the side and back, it was really nice. The interior was gorgeous, with combo blue/green inserts and black Alcantara. Lots of carbon fiber throughout. We were told it is the only one in the US & it will be traveling to other M track days throughout the country.
Although I am not in the market for a new performance car, If I was, I would give it serious consideration. Yes, the grille is big, The overall look is very aggressive. The color, wow, It was spectacular.

The title should have read NEW M4. After a little research color was Golf Yellow.

No pics as I said, they took phones, iwatches and any suspect that might be a recording device before you can go behind the curtain.. They even inspected eyeglasses for cameras!

I'm glad to hear it may look better in production or in person than the renderings and spy shots.

Very cool. Aside from the peek behind the M curtain, is the m track day worth it?

We did a 1/2 day. Well worth it. Drove a variety of new M cars. My favorite, M5 comp.
