1M is Magnus Walker approved
Listening to the Smoking Tire podcast the other day, and then my ears perked up. Another satisfied driver.

Awesome. That 1M is my acquaintance's here in Portland, and he told me that Magnus thought it was pretty cool, so great to see him still talking about it. I know that he's talking about selling the 1M for an old NSX, like they mentioned, but we'll see.

i find Magnus Walker to be perpetually annoying; however am pleasantly surprised to find that even he can appreciate the wicked charms of the 1M!

That old nsx would be the only thing left I want to own n drive, would keep the 1M as a garage mate tho, but the NSX keeps going up in value and harder to get.

Yeah, I sat in the NSX at a car show right after its debut, and it certainly stuck with me as a young teen.

Really? Well that is pretty obvious. He is one of the most famous Porsche collectors. He has passion for and has some really bad ass classic 911s. Obviously great tastes in cars and the appreciation of the 1M can be seen in the same vain, a car that stirs emotion and passion of a brand and is also just a blast to drive.

Being a 911 fan, kind of shocking to see a thread on a car forum that does not know about Magnus, but he is a kind of an icon of air cooled 911’s, so if you don’t follow Porsche, you may never hear of him. In short: He has a book, a documentary, is on tv, in video games, podcasts all the time and has his own restoration brand and signature way of restoring cars with his personal touches. I know at one time he was a trackrat, so probably can drive pretty well, despite the clip above. He is big on cars having a soul, and the 1M does, so his blessing of a non-Porsche, and even that - a modern car is a big compliment to the 1M. Last edited by seis-speed; 12-17-2018 at 10:31 PM.. |

I'm surprised to see people hatin.
Magnus is a pretty accomplished driver. We were having a spirited drive. We had driven enough to know each others style. It was not dangerous at all from the seat of my 1m. Fun was had by all. |
