So the final part,
it's "still" not 100%, it's very good, but anally, it's still a bit dull looking, even after the polishing,
I'm thinking I need to machine polish it ?

maybe spray another top clear coat ?

cheers

In my experience (I'm choosing words carefully) the clear coats are a small % "paint" and a large % propellant and solvent. You may need a few more coats than you originally thought to build an actual layer. A few more coats of clear might be beneficial if you plan to (somewhat) aggressively polish it later.

A final coat that is a bit thicker may help too, instead of having it applied somewhat dull (many thin coats from a decent distance) you may want to do the last one just a little heavier so it has a shine to it. This is tough because you also don't want it to run.

Machine polish may not be needed since it's not a big area. It isn't inherently better it just saves your arms. I think you can still get there by hand.

I haven't touched up a car in a while so consider these only suggestions to think about and not necessarily exactly what you need to do.

Thanks man, appreciate your comments.

So, again I'm a bit anal, because at least now from a distance, it all looks good, so a couple of questions's

Can I hit it with a few more coats of clear ? even though the clear has now bonded with the base and dried hard, I guess' I'd have to scuff it a bit ?

OR can I hit it with a good quality polish but instead of hand polishing it, using something like a DA ?

It's "just" nearly there, when your close up, and your observant you can tell a differance? JUST LOLZ

Yep. very lightly, won't need much. Be sure it's clean, dry and lint / dust free afterwards but that's all you really need to do.
