Send me a ticket and I'll fly up and sort both of your kits out. Oh, I forgot I also need one night accommodation at Jupiters and some gaming money.

Got murdered by an Evo 9 last night from a 60klm roll. I was running 17.5 psi and a 80/20 meth mix. My car wad running really strong. I think it was a low 11 second Evo.

haha dont tempt me Edwin! there are some very fast evo, wrx, supra's floating around with turbo upgrades etc, probably more in Sydney then Brisbane though. Our cars are very quick but there is always a bigger fish.

I'll be coming to Sydney next month so if it's not sorted by then I might need your help

How many cars/buses did he beat you by? AWD is a completely different game and seeing as though he smashed you from 60 I'd say he's trapping 120+. Must be fully worked. I remember an Evo 8/9 with an extra passenger took me out by a couple of cars on a roll from about 100, it had a roll cage, decals, the works. This was when I was completely stock though.

The Evo was fully modded with about 20 gauges all over the dash, roll cage, seat harness and race seats. He got me by about two-three car lengths but I'm sure he was expecting much more.

Sounds like the extra weight from the soft-top was slowing you down Edwin! It must have had a lot of power though!

That's the difference right there. I'm sure the difference in weight shows the longer you put your foot down for as well. I was so close to getting a vert myself but pulled the trigger on a coupe at the last minute. At least you can beat 99% of cars in style

Without a doubt.. I drove a similar tuned 135i ( Kris's ) to my vert, back to back and there is a big difference in the seat dyno..

The coupe just felt so much lighter and quicker under acceleration.

I'm sure you're going to be wrapped when you get the 1M, especially with a few mods I can always feel the extra weight whenever I have passengers, I even feel the difference when I have a few things in my boot so I'm sure 110kg would be very noticeable.

I understand the value in getting a vert though and if we wanted a straight-line drag car there are plenty of cheaper options. I wouldn't think twice about giving up my factory options to save some weight. These cars are the best of both worlds. Anyways, if you really wanted to offset the weight I'm sure you could rip out the backseat

True..the wait is killing me.

And to be really really truthful, if the 1M was available in a vert, that would have been my 1st choice.

I don't blame you. A 1M vert would be

Agreed the short time is very important. I think they would beat us because they both have LSD's and sitting around 325rwkw on a conservative tune. I'd say they'd be trapping around 120+ and roughly the same short times as us.

Don't talk to me about short times! Trying to get a manual out of the box - under 1.9 and getting some descent acceleration is bloody hard

You'll need an LSD or some really good tyres if you've got a manual. Otherwise practice makes perfect

Drag racing is all about manual trannys. That's the whole fun of it.
