It's a short block, so you are missing all the electronics, manifolds, turbos, intercooler, not to mention the computer. Good luck finding all of that! If you had to buy all of that at the dealer, you could almost buy a 135.

A short block like that is only really useful to an N54 owner who has a ruined engine off warranty.

good to know. I thought its like something where you can just drop the engine in and connect the cables and your all set. I guess trading in the car and upgrading to 135i is cheaper and safer since you have the warranty included and everything is guaranteed to work vs buying that engine with no warranty.

OR an N54 owner who wants a spare engine to build the shit out of

but yeah. there's a lot more to the drivetrain than just that block
