225/40 will fit fine...no need to have zero sidewall. 235/40 might be an issue but im not sure.

Youre right. I just checked availability, and 235/40-18 are really the only option

just be careful 235/40 has a much taller sidewall than a 225/40. something like .7" and that will greatly increase your chances of rubbing
