Tire PSI
I have the Bridgestone Potenza RFT's(M-Sport) on my 135. I just checked the pressure after a low pressure warning popped up. One of the tires is at about 29lbs and it probabily has a nail or screw in it. I'll check it later when my wife gets home to roll it for me. The other tires I checked and they all have a little over 50psi! The max rating for the tires are 51psi. I dont ever run tires at their max unless theres a ton a weight in the vehicle. What do you guys run, pressure wise?

Mine was set to 40 all around from the factory which I believe is higher than what's marked on the door jam.

Thanks. I hit a pothole a couple weeks ago and blew out my LF tire. Took it to BMW to replace the tire. They also did a 4 wheel alignment. Seems the mech filled all the tires to 50+ lbs. Gonna have a word or two with them.

i think i keep mine at 38 all around, and surprisingly, they never lose air. only put air in the tires twice in 1.5 years.

When i had the run flats i had to keep them close to 40psi to prevent the low tire indicator from coming on. I'm now on Dunlop direzza sport at 34psi, i love these tires.

I run my Hankook V12's at the high speed pressure reccomendation, around 40Psi.
You may also want to check the valve on the wheel. I had one come loose and created a leak. |

Same here; just had to tighten it back up. I run my RFTs at 38psi.

Sorry to hear about the nail, rough luck, I had a loss of tire pressure in one of my tires the other day it was a pain... I checked I believe my front tires are inflated to 32 psi and the rears to 39 or so.
How do you know is your tire pressure warning is callibrated right? I have been to busy to figure it out. |
