Little bit pissed about the Anthracite headliner (my car was built 3 days ago for ED)

When I ordered my 2009 almost 2 months ago - I had all of BMW's available options in front of me (or so I thought) I think that when I placed the order, I even asked the salesman to inquire if I could get a black headliner.

Of course at the time it was not available. On nov 26th, my car went into production, and on dec 1st, BMW announced new options. 1 color and the black headliner.

I'm really pissed. I am about to go to the dealer to sign my PO and pay in full for my car, and in 4 weeks I'm off to Germany to go pick it up. I think its really shitty that BMW add significant model year changes 2 months into production with no warning.

I don't want to screw my dealer over, they've been awesome to me - but I really hope BMW made my car with at least the black headliner. I wanted it from the very beginning and I haven't paid yet.

Yeah you do not want to screw the dealer over (who would've thunk) but will you have serious buyer's remorse in the end because of those 2 details. Personally, that would drive me nuts. Don't sign the PO or pay for the car until your satisified.

OT: did you ever receive the raw image I sent you 2 weeks ago? I'm waiting to see what you can do with it, post-processing.

its a no cost option now. Went to dealer. They are going to be checking on my car to see which headliner it was built with. But they have told me if its the grey one - it will be unlikely that there is anything they can do.

Yeah, the running change thing is annoying. I took delivery of my 09 4 weeks ago and begged and pleaded for LeMans Blue. If I had known it would be available just a few short weeks later I would have gladly waited. The same goes for the 261 wheels.

Where do you see the headliner option? I don't see any referfence to it. I thought I did before when you order the sport option no?
