How long did you wait for your 1?
im currently thinking about getting a new 135i, a 335i, or maybe even a E90 M3 when the lease on my E90 325i runs up in may. I made the mistake of buying my E90 off the lot, and got it without a single option. no sport, power seats, etc... and i don't want to do that again. i want to order my next car exactly how i want it.
so my question is how long is the wait usually to order a car? does ED affect the build time? how long did it take for you to get your car from the day you ordered until you took delivery? Thanks |

Special ordering a car is usually 8-10 weeks as already noted. ED requires a 2-3 month process prior to picking up the car in Munich. After you drive around Europe as long as 2 weeks (up to six months at additional costs for insurance), you drop off the car for transport. That usually takes 6-8 weeks to get it back to the U.S. through customs, the Vehicle Preparation Center and then back to your dealer. However, that too depends on where you are in the U.S., luck of the draw, karma, etc. |
