Sport Shift/Sport Button

I am a little overly cautious, ok a lot over cautious so I ask the following. I place the shifter into S1 (this gives me a higher RPM before gear change) and press the Sport Button which makes the gear shifting quicker. Is that right? So together I get higher RPM and snappier gear shifts.

Yep... then put yourself in M and you're as close as you can get to DCT fun and speed!

Thank you for your response. Yes I have used the M1 with Sport button and, to tell you the truth, it is almost more than I can handle. I spin my wheels a lot when just accelerating when passing. Rather than flooring it I need to just increase the speed gradually. I love this car.
