Turbo Replacement Finally!

It was just posted yesterday afternoon and because of the new news that I got today that its not yet active, they may not be willing to read it to you. Ive gotten pretty close with the guys at my dealer because they practically see my car more than i do! But when I go to pick my car up today ill ask for the SIB number so you can reference it

Spoke to the SA last night. I was told it is B01 02 12 however if I remember that is the same as the old one so i guess their re-releasing it on the old bulletin.

I also called BMW NA to ask ant they wouldnt tell me so who knows.

Yes that is the same one. I have a copy of that one put I could only get 2 of the 8 pages. Cant seem to find the whole TSB but thats fine the first 2 pages of it Thanks for the update!

FYI everyone I just called BMW NA and asked about the extended warranty on the turbos.... And they had no problem confirming it over the phone and told me my cars warranty had been extended, I will now call back and record the conversation this time on my iPhone.... Because I'm sneaky as shit. And am scared they'll go back on their word!

My dealer in South Florida acknowledged the extended coverage on the turbos for my car. Not sure what they other dealer have a ard time seeing... Im good.

I just called BMW NA as well for the 3rd time and they still said there is no bulletin according to my VIN #. But the bulletin says the warranty for 2008 135i and all other cars with the N54 are extended. This is really pissing me off now cause both the dealer and BMW NA say there is no bulletin for my car. Maybe because I bought my car directly from Germany the VIN would be different and it's just not coming up?

Good point... Im not sure what to say about that. Ask them why your car isnt covered if it is within the specified date?

I wouldnt sweat your car not being covered based on your year of production, what I would sweat is all the mods you have which will void the wastegate(and other) aspects of engine warranty.

I wouldnt sweat your car not being covered based on your year of production, what I would sweat is all the mods you have which will void the wastegate(and other) aspects of engine warranty.

Just wanted to update.. Got my car back wednesday! It is Godly. It hasnt run this well EVER. Such and improvement. When I dropped it off the shop foreman knew that I had a Dinan tune "at one time" but had to ask me if it was installed at the time. I told him no and it seemed like he believed me. When he handed me the car back he just said "Night and day difference" with a huge grin on his face.

I just took my car in for the turbos and I had no issues getting them replaced. the rattle was pretty bad though. The tech that is doing it is the same person that has worked on my car for the last 2 years and he was able to get it approved no issues thankfully. I think it really matters on the delaer and tech you get. The story they write makes a big difference in getting the warranty work approved. I really wanted to get the RB turbos put in place while he is doing the work anyway but I just cant see spending almost 4k on them right now and I would of had to wait to get them and the turbos needed to be replaced right away. I couldnt stand the sound anymore.

Trust me if you have it you will know it. It will make noise at idle in drive or reverse and on decel or when you rev the engine.

Guys, I'm new to a E82. Just picked up a 08 135

I assume this warranty only goes into effect if the warning lights of "reduced" power comes on... we cant just march in there and say, I have a wastegate rattle, please replace my turbos?
