128i Tii Performance Side Skirts
I just had these installed and figured I'd share. Really happy with the way they look.
This is a 2009 128i w/ performance package. The sideskirts are from the aerodynamic package (Part #: 51770442891): Last edited by mhaedo; 03-22-2015 at 08:54 PM.. |

That looks fabulous! I had inquired for pricing at the dealer, seemed not too bad but to have them paint them and install, it would of cost 3x the price of the parts! Have to find another way, they do look sooo nice...

Buy them online and take them to a good body shop. A dealer wont paint them anyways usually. Most dealers contract out body work so by going there you are paying a middle man for services. My local shop paints and installs for less than the parts cost.

Reluctant to purchase online as I've read more than a few have found cracks after receiving, I would rather get them from the dealer so I can see them before handing over the cash. Plus I get a discount on parts for being a BMW Club Canada member. But will for sure get some quotes on painting, that is such a great looking piece on the 1.

These are super simple to install. I put mine on in about an hour and a half taking my time. The only thing I would be careful of is the black panels that sit on top of the skirts. If you're not careful you will destroy it by pulling the clips through there thin plastic holders.

I paid $350 at the dealer to have them painted and installed (they sent them out to a bodyshop that does all their work). They also took care of a rental while I had the work done - ended up taking four days because they also had to pull out dents under one of the side skirts (I scraped it, which is why I had them replaced). So $350 with a rental for four days isn't bad. |
