Running cooler is not necessarily better.

Slightly bigger oil cooler is all you need and that's if tracking. CSF radiator has been shown to hamper warm up times which is bad bad bad.
Thanks for this...
Will do some research on an oil cooler...
May purchase, may not...
If 250F is good, then I may just continue to monitor until turbo upgrade...
Will see!

What is your take on water wetter?

But i just want my car to run the way I like it...
During some runs my oil temp was 245-250 Fahrenheit...
I think i read that this is considered normal but i would rather it ran maybe around a consistent 225-230...

I do plan on upgrading my turbos in the near future so i know cooling is going to play a big part in keeping things running well...

Was planing on addressing each item(oil cooler, radiator, fan) one at a time but don't know which direction to go in first...
I don't even know if any or all of them are needed, I heard water wetter might be a good option....

Before I go spending money, was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction so I can research and make a proper decision.
My biggest “devils advocate” question to all of these oil coolers is:

Sounds like it may not...
I always figured cooler means better...
Still learning this engine, and i have a lot to learn...

Over the weekend I stitched on the eastdetailing.com perforated leather with red center stripe steering wheel cover.

Once you get the hang of it stitching isn’t too hard.

A couple of tools that I would recommend are a set of dental picks, like they sell at Harbor freight, these allow you to tension the individual threads instead of trying to use your fat fingers.

More pictures in the album. If you have a plastic sport wheels I highly recommend this.

The engine and all of its internal mechanical tolerances are designed for the temperatures it's running at as stock. There is more than enough cooling in the stock system to handle even spirited street driving (they're designed to be storming down the Autobahn at sustained high speeds).

Clay barred and CQuartz’ed all painted surfaces and windshields. It took a little getting used to but overall am extremely impressed. I gotta do a final sealing coat tomorrow morning. In hind sight, I kinda wish I did a better job polishing the rear quarter panels but I couldn’t convince myself to spend another day on it. I got it during one of the AutoGeeks 25% off sales with another batch of Leatherique.

Pics to come tomorrow.

My lost steering wheel finally made its way home from Ukraine. Apparently customs had their way with it for awhile until they were sure it wasn't drugs. Decided to throw in some extra ricey bits to complete the trifecta (red control button and blue start button) Wrong stitching but I'm happy with it either way.

I've owned my newest 128i (M-sport, 6-sp) for three-days now.
Drove it home from Wisconsin on Tuesday.
Within a day put on the Apex wheels I got for it before I bought it :
